Florida Worm Snail

Shell size to 80 mm; shell similar to Vermicularia fargoi, but whorls smooth. Wound stage (“turritella”) about 15 mm. Color light-brownish, first few whorls (juvenile shell) white. The supplementary illustration shows a young Florida Worm Snail collected in 2018 by Kimberly Nealon, Bowman's Beach, Sanibel.
